I was looking at a Mitch O'Connell book for a while today, and trying to copy his faces. And then I tried to copy Alex's hair. I'm starting to get the hang of it. Alex came over halfway through and drew an eye (as designated by the arrow, and by the fact that it's the only non-girlish eye).

Sweaty hair

Drew this outta my head... it reminds me of how I'm gonna feel in 2 months when it's a million degrees and I'm sitting in a pool of my own sweat, only instead of smiling slightly I'll be whimpering and pounding my fists on the air conditioner.

Starting to like these brush pens

It takes me a while to get a really pointy line, I think I'm getting a little better. But damn, it's hard to do hair that looks normal.

Fuzzles

Woo, I colored it in! I used one of Alex's brush pens for the black, and various colored pencil leads for everything else.

Husband - wife collaboration

I sketched this out for Alex, for him to add to an album cover he's doing. Maybe you'll see it over on his blog soon? And then I can scribble on it and put it on my blog again. Ah, collaboration.

I skipped TWO whole days, I'm such a slacker. But to catch up I'm posting 3 sketches, so shut up already.

This one's from a picture, in a book, of a statue. Except the swirls on the right, those weren't there.

And THIS one is just a page of doodles that happened while I was testing out some pens and pencils. It counts.

So there we go. Gonna try not to skip days again, unless I'm away from the internet for a long period of time, which sounds kinda nice actually. But in that case I'll cheat and do scheduled postings, so you won't even know the difference. Ha.

Playing with the compass

I have all these different colored leads, so I spent like an hour putting each one in my compass and drawing circles. Time well spent. Here's one of the pages.

I like this one. It reminds me of the Paramount logo, but instead of a mountain there's a tree throwing BBs in the air, yay!

Couldn't think of anything to draw, so I drew my hand. With a nice pastel glamour-shot background. Does it look like a man hand? I swear I don't have man hands.
